The history of the medicinal bath operated by the Kiskunmajsa Jonathermál Zrt. is looking back to the mid of the 1980's years. As a result of transformation following to the opening of the bath, it is functioning from 1996 as a shareholding company.

In the early 90s exploratory drillings were made in the outskirts of Cegléd. As a result, 54°C hotwater was found 1000 metres below the surface. Excitement and pleasure were justified as laboratory results proved the long-awaited news. Thermal water! The water itself contains sodium chloride hydrogen carbonate as well as fluoride and iodine medicinal water, which is extremely suitable for treating locomotor, rheumatic, digestive, dermatological disorders and rehabilitate the nervous system. Moreover it is advisable to take a drinking cure.

In the 1920-s thermal springs were discovered in Püspökladány, a typical low-land city, lying just beyond the riverTisza to its middle where the three areas of Sárrét, Nagykunság and Hortobágy meet. This gift of nature, was to be used for more than four decades where a thermal-spa-beach was built on the location. Since that time on, its considered to be a favourite relaxing location to the locals, as well as to visitors from abroad. In 1978, our thermal waters proved to qualify as medicinal waters.

A turisták számára Eger fő vonzástényezői az egri vár, a barokk belváros látványa és műemlékei, a több évszázados egri borkultúra, valamint Eger fürdői, különösen az egri Termálfürdő és a Török Fürdő. A mai egri Török Fürdő elődjét a város török megszállása idején, 1610 és 1617. között Arnaut pasa építette. Ekkor még a törökök ilidzsának, a rituális tisztálkodás céljait szolgáló fürdőnek építették. A századok alatt ismételt rekonstrukciók során a fürdő török jellegét megőrizték. A fő medence a "Török-medence " nyolcszögletű, mint valamennyi török fürdőé, mely felett kétszázezer aranylapocskával borított kupola helyezkedik el.(Ilyen Magyarországon még csak egy helyen van, a Parlamentben).
