III. Buda Castle Beer Festival

The Buda Castle was filled up with beer again, for the third time: the 3rd Budapest Beer Festival welcomed visitors on June 13-16, 2013 offering almost 200 different beers both from Hungary and abroad, including home brewed beauties. You could enjoy the „liquid bread” of Germany, Belgium, Holland, Czech, Slovakia, UK and Denmark – as well as ciders. The Balkan garden put a spell on you with gipsy music, guitars hanging in the air. Felt like trying banana or chocolate tasting beer? This was the time than ... while enjoying the true street carnival atmosphere, with concerts of Charlie, Ganxta Zolee, Mystery Gang, ZUP, Balkan Fanatik, the Joe Cocker, Doors and ZZ Top tribute bands. PARK Opened the Summer Season with a Grand Event: Hungarian band Tankcsapda farewell concert in Budapest, before they start their 1 year tour in the countryside. The concert was staged by Soproni Brewery, featuring their new alcohol-free beer, the Soproni Szűz (Sopron Virgin). PARK just starts its summer season though, offering great fun for rock lovers, housing even 8 thousand fans.

On December 6 Joulupukki, the real Santa Clause came to visit Hungarian children in Budapest. Kids received the famous guest with their eyes wide open and admiration - except for one naughty boy, who suddenly grabbed and pulled off Santa's cap. After this minor incident the peaceful celebration continued  :o)

The OTP Equestrian World Cup was organized in the Budapest Sport Arena. The event is fully booked each year. This year already for the 6th time, the most well known horse carriage drivers, the Lázár brothers organized the horse championship in Budapest. Just like before, the event attracted the very best of the world to Hungary again. Not only is this a sport event, but also a social and family event. Spectacular shows and international stars amazed the audience. The OTP Equestrian World Cup was the scene for major battles also this year. Check it out through our eyes! (Photos by Zsolt Vajna)

The 11th Budapest Fashion Night event was organised in the autumn of 2012. The series raises awareness about Hungarian fashion – this time presenting collections of Art’z Modell, celebrating its 25th birthday on October 30.

The fashion event launched by Bloom Fashion Group – supporting Hungarian fashion, coupled with a fancy fashion party – was a great success also this year.

There’s an amazing atmosphere in the stadium enhanced by the cheering sections and supporters trying to dominate the atmosphere with their shouts and giving the real spirit to their team to win the match. The air is full of pure testosterone. Big supermen wearing the American football uniforms can’t wait to start fighting. Yes. It is the Hungarian Bowl: Budapest Wolves vs Budapest Hurricanes. Sweet Days in Buda Castle

The open air Chocolate and Sweets Festival took place in the Buda Castle. Hundreds of sweets lover visitors arrived to taste every kind of cocoa products. Multinational companies, chocolate craftsmen, producers and traders from Hungary and abroad were attending the Chocolate and Sweets Festival to tempt you with their delicacies. Fruits, seeds, coffee, vanilla, various syrups, honey, fine wines and sweet drinks accompanied the chocolate and sweets at the festival. The festival also offered kid-friendly programs to keep the little ones entertained while grown-ups participated at chocolate-manufacturing courses. If you were not tired of tasting sweets all day long, you could enjoy live concerts accompanied by fine wines in the evening. Topping the event, finally the queen of all sweet girls, the Cherry Queen was also elected on the stage. Sweet memories...
