One of Europe’s largest and most famous music festivals returns to Budapest in 2026 from 11–15 August. Held on the green Óbuda Island in the Danube, the Sziget Festival transforms the area into the legendary “Island of Freedom”, welcoming thousands of visitors from around the world for five unforgettable days of music, art and culture.
The festival features an impressive international lineup every year. Among the artists already announced for Sziget 2026 are Florence + The Machine, Twenty One Pilots, Lewis Capaldi, Bring Me The Horizon, Zara Larsson, Underworld, Tash Sultana and many more performers from across the global music scene.
But Sziget is much more than a music festival. Visitors can explore hundreds of additional programs including theatre, circus shows, dance performances, art installations, workshops and sport activities. In total, the event hosts more than 600 programs, creating a unique cultural experience that goes far beyond concerts.
Festival-goers can stay on the island in various camping areas or enjoy the event with day tickets. With its international atmosphere, creative performances and vibrant nightlife, Sziget has become one of Budapest’s most iconic summer events and a must-visit for music lovers.
