If you enjoy browsing handmade goods, vintage treasures and unusual finds, add the Gozsdu Weekend Market to your Budapest itinerary. Located in the heart of the city’s Jewish Quarter, this open-air street market brings together craftspeople, designers and vintage sellers in one of Budapest’s liveliest neighborhoods.
The market takes place in Gozsdu Courtyard (Gozsdu Udvar), a passage connecting Király Street and Dob Street. The courtyard is also known for its cafés, restaurants and bars, so it’s easy to combine a little shopping with lunch or a coffee break. You can find out more about the area in my guide to Gozsdu Courtyard in Budapest.
What Can You Find at Gozsdu Weekend Market?
The market offers a varied mix of handmade products, design pieces, vintage and retro treasures, antiques, jewelry and works of art. Whether you’re looking for a distinctive souvenir, a piece of jewelry or an unusual decorative item, it’s a fun place to browse and see what catches your eye.
Unlike a conventional shopping center, Gozsdu Weekend Market has the feel of an outdoor street market. You can wander between the stalls at your own pace, then explore the surrounding neighborhood, which has plenty of cafés, restaurants and bars.

Gozsdu Christmas Market
Gozsdu Courtyard has a festive highlight, too. The Gozsdu Weekend Market and the Gozsdu Christmas Market are organized by the same team, with the regular market taking on a seasonal twist in December.
During the Christmas market, you can browse the stalls for handmade gifts, design pieces, vintage finds and other unusual treasures. It’s a lovely option if you’d like to do some Christmas shopping while exploring Budapest’s Jewish Quarter, with plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby for a break along the way.
In 2026, the Gozsdu Christmas Market is scheduled to run from December 4 to 23, with stalls open daily. The regular Gozsdu Weekend Market is then scheduled to return from December 26 to 30.
